On Saturday, March 2nd, USO Hawaii hosted the 2nd annual Tribute to the Troops at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Over 6,000 guests, including service members and their families, came out to enjoy a free day exploring the rich heritage of the Pacific Islands. The 42-acre park is located in Kahuku and is filled with hands-on Polynesian activities and performances. Guests also had the option to stay for the evening luau and Hā: Breath of Life show at a special discounted rate. A big MAHALO to all of our sponsors who made this event possible: The Jack & Marie Lord Fund #2 of the Hawaii Community Foundation, GEICO Military, Delta Air Lines, Altres Staffing, Omni Financial, Veteran’s United Home Loans, and Health Net Federal Services. They enjoyed a variety of “Go Native” activities, canoe rides, a pageant on the water, and the Hukilau Marketplace.

Entertainment Is Our Tradition! Home for service members is where you are planted and USO Hawaii took a day to connect our service members with the rich and vibrant Hawaiian culture that embraces our military ohana. Events like this from favorite local activities strengthen service members and their families by keeping them connected to the people, places, and things they love.
