USO Hawaii 2018 Service Salute Gala
On October 20, 2018, USO Hawaii honored 6 service members from the United States Armed Forces and the USO Hawaii volunteer of the year. The evening’s celebrations included a halau performance by Halau Hula mai ka Pu’uwai a ka Mana’o, and the USO Show Troupe! We were honored to have Rear Admiral Matthew Carter, Deputy Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet as our guest speaker and share such kind words for the support of our sponsors, Geico, Delta, Jack & Marie Lord #2 of the Hawai'i Community Foundation, Health Net Federal Services, Veteran’s United, Altres Staffing. The evening concluded with special recognition of six outstanding service members who were nominated by their leadership for professional achievements, leadership, service to country, and embodiment of the USO’s 8 core values.
