Welcome Home USS Hopper!

On Friday, February 9th the USS Hopper (DDG-70) pulled into port at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam to a crowd of excited family and friends. Hopper, an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer, is assigned to Destroyer Squadron 31 and routinely deploys to the 5th and 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
It was a beautiful and joyous morning with the Navy band playing, presentation of the “first kiss,” and the welcoming of the new babies born while the ship was on deployment.
USO JBPHH was honored to support the ship’s homecoming ceremony and be a part of this joyous occasion.
