Revamped and Rejuvenated: The Reopening of the USO Center at Schofield Barracks!

The USO Schofield Barracks center recently reopened after undergoing an extensive 21-day renovation, showcasing its new look and enhanced functionality. It is now equipped with an array of exciting changes that promise to create an enjoyable experience for all visitors to the center, which has been a hub for Service Members and their families.

We are thrilled to be reopened with a refreshed look,“ said Evon Haley, Center Manager. "Our volunteers and staff hope you enjoy this ‘home away from home’ as we’ve put a lot of love into creating a more enjoyable experience for our Service Members and their families.

The renovation has breathed new life into the center’s main areas, with a particular focus on the gaming room, social media room, family room, and the central gathering space. Patrons can now relish the dedicated snack and beverage corner, perfect for grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a cup of coffee while socializing with colleagues. Three large dining tables have been added, providing ample space for sharing meals together or continuing work while making use of the center’s WiFi.

A highlight of the renovation is the expansion of the kid’s corner into a warm and inviting family space, complete with a cozy living room feel. Families can now gather here, allowing parents to relax while their children engage in playtime activities. The center is truly becoming a home away from home for Service Members and their loved ones.

Furthermore, the renovation has repurposed rooms to increase functionality. The once theater room has been transformed into a multi-functional gaming room, catering to both console gamers and enthusiasts of classic board games. This space is also available for patrons to hold meetings or host small gatherings, adding versatility to the center’s offerings.

Additionally, the renovation has also introduced a cutting-edge social media room to the center. Provided with a professional-grade lighting system, Service Members can now create professional headshots, record videos, and participate in various multimedia activities. This addition reflects the center’s commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest technological trends and catering to the diverse interests of its patrons.
