We are celebrating our military dads with a Home Depot Kids Workshop! The Home Depot offers free workshops for do-it-yourselfers of all ages and experience levels (recommended children ages 5-7). USO Hawaii is partnering with Home Depot for a special event and bringing their workshops to a base near you! (If the military dad is deployed, any parent/guardian may register the child/children.)
-Kits are provided by Home Depot and will be offered to those registered, then on a first-come, first-serve basis (while supplies last).
*-This event will be offered at USO Schofield Barracks, USO Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam and Marine Corps Base Hawaii on the same day and time. *
(Marine Corps Base Hawaii requires a vehicle pass, if you would like to attend that location and do not have a vehicle pass, please check the box “no” during registration, and we will submit names to Pass & ID for base access)
Event locations:
MCBH, Marine Corps Family Team Building Courtyard
-Registering will reserve your kits. Waivers will be emailed out for parents to complete and bring with them to the event.
-When registering, please tell us how many children attending will be building a kit. (One kit per child)
-Light refreshments will be provided.
FAQs
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Yes, this event requires base access and a valid military ID. The event is open to active duty, reserve and national guard service members and families. There are no minimum age requirements to attend the event, however, we request that children able to actively participate in making the craft register in order ensure that as many kids as possible can participate.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
For a general event question, please contact Alesha Burkeen or Cheryl Gerofske Rogers at usohawaiiareaoffice.web@uso.org. For questions at a specific location please contact:
